4th Annual Westfield Hair Donation Campaign

Westfield is Celebrating their 4th Annual Hair Donation Campaign on Monday October 26th.   Are you thinking about chopping off your hair??? Before you do so, consider donating your hair in a meaningful way to help those in need, considering so many of us have loved ones who have been affected by cancer. If your ponytail is a minimum of 8 inches long (this includes bleached, dyed and gray hair), please let your hairstylist know beforehand and include your hair donation in Westfield Elementary School’s 4th Annual Hair Donation Campaign.  In 2014, students, their families, and hairstylists volunteered to collectively donate a combined total of 43 ponytails (that’s enough hair for about 5 wigs)!! The non-profit organization, My Brother’s Keeper, accepts hair donations year-round that are sent away to Order Quality Wigs, Inc., to be made into wigs to give to Canadian children with cancer, free of cost, through the Can Donate Hair Program. Your gift of hair will provide a sick child with a free wig.  This will bring them so much happiness and boost their confidence! Please join us in this campaign by saving your ponytail the next time you get your hair cut or call Westfield School at 757-2020 to tell us you want to donate your hair.
