·       Grade 12s interested in a career in medicine, there is an opportunity for high school students to attend a lecture by a medical researcher at Dalhousie Med School NB at the UNBSJ campus.  Please see Ms. Godwin for more information as seats are limited for this event.  Submitted by:  P. ·       Grade 12 – a rep from NBCC (New Brunswick Community College) will be here this Friday during period one to help you with your applications.  See Mrs. Godwin to sign up for an appointment for this.  The deadline for NBCC applications is Nov. 1^st!

·       Grade 12s:  Today, Oct. 14^th at 11:30 a rep from Carleton University will be here in the Guidance area.  See Mrs. Godwin, if you are interested.

·       On Wednesday, Oct. 15^th, University of Western Ontario will be here at 10:10, also in Guidance area.  Also on Wednesday, Oct. 15, a rep from Dalhousie University will be here at noon, Room 102.  Grade 11’s also welcome at noon.

·       Grade 12s:  info is now available in Guidance Office for the TD Scholarship for Community Leadership.  This is a National Scholarship (20 across Canada).  Marks are important but the main criteria is outstanding community leadership.

·       Christian Fellowship will be meeting at lunchtime on Tuesday, in Room 102 (Mrs. Gauthier’s room).  There will be some cookies to enjoy as we work through the book of James together.  Submitted by Alyssa Hayter

·       First practice for wrestling starts next week on Tuesday, 21^st, meeting at the Rothesay High gym at 5PM!  Submitted by Corrine Donovan

·       Yoga today @ 4PM.  Submitted by Mrs. Holder

·       Picture Orders are due today!  Retakes will happen on October 17^th.

·       Our Cross Country teams represented our school extremely well.  Our varsity boys team came in 3rd overall with Daimon Ross and Luca Hallett anchoring the team as 6th and 15th respectively.  Sam Piekarski ran a great course coming in 8th.  The Vboys teams and Sam Piekarski both advance to Provincials @ Bernice McNaughton this coming Friday- Oct 17th.  Congrats team! ·       Attention B-ballers:  Try outs begin this week:

o   Girls  JV & Varsity Combined try out:

§  Fri., Oct 17th: 4-6pm, Sun., Oct 19th: 4:30-6:30pm

o   Boys  JV & Varsity Combined try out:

§  Sun, Oct 19th: 6:30-8:30pm, Oct 20th  6-8pm

·       Wrestling try outs:

o   Tues, Oct 21: 5:30-7pm, Fri, Oct 24th: 4-5:30pm

·       There is no Varsity Girls’ Soccer tonight.

·       With Winter sports try outs over lapping the Fall sports season, please be advised that ALL Fall sport commitments (ie. games & practices) have first priority over Winter sports try outs.

·       The RHS Cross Country runners advanced past Regionals and will be off to the Provincial meet this Friday, Oct 17th.  As such, they will not be at school that day.  Submitted by K. Jordan

·       If you wish to perform an act in the Halloween Performing Arts Show, there is a sign-up sheet on the Performing Arts Bulletin Board.  Sign the name of the performers and your act by the end of this week.  Submitted by Danica Sankey

·       Students interested in joining a group centered on creative story telling, horror literature and “Dungeons and Dragons”, please sign up in the library.  No writing experience is required.  Submitted by Spencer Dennison

·       Reminder:  Coop Ed students today is an in-class day.  Do not go to your placements.   Submitted by H. Porter

·       Year books ($35.-special rate until Oct. 31st) may be paid for at the office.
