·         Another successful season for RHS at the NBIAA Provincial Track & Field meet that occurred this past Saturday @ UNBSJ Stadium. As a team, RHS placed a very respectable 20th of 42 teams- not bad at all for a team of 11 when other NB teams have numbers easily over 20. Highlighting the event for RHS was both Riley Meahan who showed her consistency as a talented athlete placing 3rd in discus and 2nd in shot put and Kate Goodine placing 2nd in high jump. Hunter Oldham worked through an injury to place 8th, 9th, and 11th in the 400, 200, & 100m respectively- a grueling day of racing for even the uninjured athlete and he even recorded a PB to boot- way to top off your high school track career Hunter! Corrine Donovan placed 7th in shot put. She must be so proud of her improvement this season- being her senior year. Great job Corrine! Ben McCoy placed 8th & 7th in the 200 and 100m respectively- recording a PB during the day also.  You’ll surely be the one to watch out for on the track next year Ben.  Emmah Vincent placed 5th in the javelin event and had a PB- what a major improvement Saturday in your performance in such a short amount of training time this season- great job Emmah! Julie Ogden placed 14 & 15 in the discus and javelin events respectively completing her season. A great overall season Julie.  The 4x100m Sr Girls relay team placed 5th of 10 teams in a compete downpour- 0.8 seconds off a bronze medal win- showing true Red Hawk grit!  Red Hawk Pride!!
