​Feb 10 – Simonds High School is celebrating World Wetland Day! We have an exciting day planned, which involves outdoor, cross-curricular, educational events. These sessions are taught by many different members of provincial environmental organizations, including: Aster Group, Parks NB, UNB Sustainability, Conservation Council of NB, Great Minds Think Outside and NBTA retired teachers. Scheduled activities include: wood carving, biodiversity games, snowshoeing, winter survival, nature experiences, animal tracks, scats and skulls, winter adaptations … and much more! Stay tuned for more exciting news at Simonds High as we are building a “Wetland Centre of Excellence – Simonds Pond”, lead by teacher Michele Banks and Team Green in conjunction with Ducks Unlimited.
