St. Patrick’s K-Kids Support Syrian Newcomers

The K-Kids (Kiwanis Kids) of St. Patrick’s School spent a morning at the Syrian Newcomers

Clothing Centre at Lorne School last week. Part of the mission of K-Kids is to help their
community. The students worked hard by cleaning up the clothing that was on display and
opening more of the many donated bags of clothing, shoes and toys. We discovered some of
them are excellent folders … they must help out a lot at home too. They were especially excited
to greet some of the Syrian families who shopped while we were there. The babies were a real
joy to meet and the students are anxious to go back again to help out. Special thanks to our
long-time PALS Partner, Deb Davis for joining us for the morning and to Paul for getting us there

on the KOTG bus.
