When we send these recorded calls to our community, the number shows up as 466-7315 - if you see that number in your call display, you know it's a prerecorded announcement message.  If you see "private number" or "PNB" show up on call display, you know it's a personal call from the school.
 
We hope you all had a great first week back of teaching and learning with one another.  Last year, ASD-S initiated our program called, "Attendance Matters" and we saw good results, with families paying closer attention to being at school and being on time.  This year, we will recognize students monthly in our assemblies for good attendance and Pita Pit will be sponsoring three free, special breakfasts for students who meet attendance goals each term.  Please work with us to ensure your child is present and on time for school.
 
Our first Parent School Support Committee meeting will be Monday October 3 at 5 PM.  At that time, we'll set dates and times for the other meetings throughout the year.  Please feel free to join us for this opportunity to speak into policies and procedures for MES.
 
If you haven't already done so, please return the data collection form with your child's up to date information - this is important for us to have on hand in the event of a school-wide crisis or should your child become ill while at school.
