This is a reminder of grade 6 band prep today in period 3.
 
There is concert band today during lunch.
 
Sports:
The gym will be closed at lunch today.
 
Staff Driving Range in the gym at 12:15 today, for Staff Appreciation Week
 
Ski Team please meet in the gym, at break for a quick meeting. 
 
Congratulations to the JV boys basketball team on a fantastic season. The team lost a very close game to Rothesay Park to place 2nd in the district! Well done boys!
 
Congratulations to the Varsity boys basketball team on defeating RPS in the semi finals. The team will host the district finals on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 4pm. The team will practice tonight from 6-7:30pm.
 
The varsity girls basketball team will practice today from 3-4:30pm and again on Tuesday from 3-4:30pm. The team will host the district Finals on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 4pm.
 
Good luck to our Varsity Boys and and Varsity girls Basketball teams  as they compete at Provincials this weekend.
 
QMS is looking for a JV boys volleyball coach, please contact the school if you are interested.

Mr. Le Clair is going to paint a mural in the Library.  We are looking for suggestions of your favourite book characters to use in the mural.  Please take your suggestions to either Mr. Le Clair or Mrs. Benjamin (our Librarian) until the end of the month of February.
 
Reminder to all students who want to work with Microsoft Paint AND want to work on the Anti-Bullying Mural with Mrs. Barton.  Go to Art Room at 12:00
 
Next Thursday, Feb. 22nd, will be Movie & Parent Information evening at 6:30 pm.  We will be showing “Wonder” in the gym and the KV Regional Police will give a session on Internet Safety and the Oasis Youth Centre will give an overview of their programs.  This parent session will take place in the Cafeteria.  Tickets for movie go on sale on Tuesday.
 
May 17th is WE Day in Saint John.  All QMS students have been invited to attend the event at Harbour Station.  Special QMS T-shirts, for the event, are available for purchase, online.  Please encourage your parents to register and purchase a t-shirt for this event.
 
Yearbooks on sale now via the school website, Josten’s link on the QMS website.  Only on sale until February 28th, don’t be sorry, don’t be late.  No extensions.
