This is a reminder of band prep in period 2 today for students in grade 7 and 8.
There is rehearsal today for grade six band after school.
Attention to those students in concert band who are selling Sea Dog tickets: Please bring tickets and/or money to rehearsal tomorrow.
Sports:
The Varsity Girls team will host the district finals on Thursday at 4:00pm.
The Varsity Boys basketball team will host the District Finals today at 4:00pm.
Varsity girls Volleyball tryouts will start this Friday from 3:00-4:30pm and continue on Monday and Thursday next week. There is a sign-up sheet posted outside the gym.
Varsity Boys volleyball tryouts will start on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Please sign up outside the gym.
QMS is looking for JV Boys volleyball coaches, if you are interested, please contact the school.

There will be after school Sculpture help for Grade 7 Art students on Thursday from 2:40-4:30, with Mrs. Barton. Extra help also, every day this week, at lunch from 12:00-12:40.
Work will be happening on the Anti-Bullying mural, every day at lunch this week and next. Feel free to stop in and help. There will be painting after school from 2:40 – 4:00 today and tomorrow.
Book Club starting today at 12:15 in Mme. Gallant's, Room 201. Come join fellow avid readers in discussing current and favourite books and to hear about new ones yet to be discovered.
Q-C.R.E.W. will meet today, after school, from 3:00-4:00 in Room 212
Mr. Le Clair is going to paint a mural in the Library. We are looking for suggestions of your favourite book characters to use in the mural. Please take your suggestions to either Mr. Le Clair or Mrs. Benjamin (our Librarian) until the end of the month of February.
Thursday, Feb. 22nd, will be Movie & Parent Information evening at 6:30 pm. We will be showing “Wonder” in the gym and the the Oasis Youth Centre will give an overview of their programs. This parent session will take place in the Cafeteria. Tickets for movie go on sale on Tuesday. We are looking for Volunteers to sell tickets today at lunch. Please see Mme Spinks at break.
May 17th is WE Day in Saint John. All QMS students have been invited to attend the event at Harbour Station. Special QMS T-shirts, for the event, are available for purchase, online, or through home room teachers. Deadline is Feb. 28/18. Please encourage your parents to register and purchase a t-shirt for this event.
Only ONE WEEK LEFT to order your Yearbook via the school website. Josten’s link is on the QMS website or see Mme Spinks in the office with cash or cheque, payable to QMS. They are on sale until February 28th, don’t be sorry, don’t be late. No extensions.
