​It’s Kindergarten Registration time – if you know a little person born in 2012 who will turn 5 anytime in 2017, it’s time to get signed up for school!  Drop by the school anytime this week and Alana will get you registered and on the list for lots of exciting events.

Picture Day at MES will be October 20.

Our fall fundraising campaign kicked off last week and all money and orders need to be back to school by October 21.

This week is also Fire Prevention Week – our students will have presentations from our local fire department and we’ll be practicing our fire evacuation procedures.

We have several free parenting support evenings coming up for our families.  On Oct. 20, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 from 6:30-8:30 each evening, Active Parenting sessions will be presented.  These are free sessions and open to all parents, grandparents and guardians – topics include discipline, bedtime routines, styles of parenting and more!  If you need help with transportation costs of childcare, please contact Cathy at 466-7362.

On Wednesday November 9 at 7 PM at Fundy High School there will be a presentation for parents on childhood anxiety and how you can help.  Dr. Daniel Chorney is a psychologist from Halifax who will be presenting on this topic – all of you are invited – we can help with transportation – if you’d like to attend and need a ride, please speak to your child’s teacher.
