Attention grade 7/8 band students:  If you have not yet brought in your gift card for the gift card fundraiser please do so by Thursday.
 
Sports:
 
There will be the final ski & snowboard day, Thursday, this week.
 
The Varsity Boys and Girls volleyball teams will practice afterschool today from 3:00-4:30pm.
 
JV Girls volleyball tryouts will start on Thursday and Friday from 3:00-4:30pm, please sign up outside the gym today.
 
JV Boys volleyball tryouts will start up next week.

The Cafeteria will not be available upstairs this morning, but as always, please feel free to make a snack purchase in the main cafeteria at break.
 
Drama Club will be cancelled after school today.
 
Reminder to Q. CREW members to bring in any prizes they may have collected to Mme Dow. We will have a brief meeting Thursday at noon in room 212.  
 
There will be an Ice Cream Sundae sale on Thursday at lunch in the Tech lab. The proceeds are going to the Band trip. Steal of a deal at $2 per Sundae.
 
Reminder of the Gay Straight Alliance meeting today in room 107. We have extended our meeting time so bring your lunch and join us at the start of noon hour. All are welcome. 
 
Interested in earning some extra cash? Why not take the Red Cross Babysitters Course offered here at QMS starting Monday, March 26th to learn about child care and basic first aid. For more information and to register, please see Ms. LaBrecque in the Guidance office. 
 
On Friday March 16th we will be celebrating St Patrick’s day a little early! So dig in your closets and find something green or St. Patrick’s day themed to wear! The class with the highest percentage of participation will be awarded the Cougar Pride Trophy. We will also be hiding tokens in every class and the first one in each homeroom to find it will get a treat!!
 
To get you in the St. Paddy’s Day spirit here’s a couple of Irish jokes for you:
Tuesday : How is a friend like a four leaf clover? Because they are hard to find and lucky to have. Why do people wear shamrocks on St Patrick’s Day? Because regular rocks are too heavy.
