·         Congratulations to the Junior Varsity Boys' Basketball Team on defeating Valley Christian Academy yesterday. With the win, the boys improved to 3-0 on the season. The boys showed great sportsmanship throughout the whole game.  As a follow up to that game, here is an email received last evening.

·         Cougar Pride continues with…
Dear Principal Nelson, I had the privilege of refereeing a basketball game between your Jr. boys team and VCA. I just wanted you to know the sportsmanship and fair play that Coach Crowther and his players demonstrated.  For a game that could have been out of hand and no fun at all especially for the VCA team [who are just starting a program] It turned out to be a very enjoyable experience for everybody involved and that is due the sportsmanship of both Coach Crowther and his players.  I have been refereeing for years and every once in a while it is nice to recognize great sportsmanship and this is one of those occasions.

·         Cougar Pride continues with the staff of the cafeteria, Kelly and Natalie. For the staff and students who enjoyed the holiday dinner, you must recognize that it took days of preparation and extra hours of care to pull together a delicious meal like we had yesterday. They continued to show their dedication even when the power went out. Mr Nelson and I are calling it the best deal in town, Dinner and a Show for $5!!! Thanks again to Kelly and Natalie and all staff who lent a hand throughout the meal. Together we made it a raging success!

·         Today is day 6 of the “12 Days of Christmas” in the cafeteria.  A timer will be set with a random number of minutes and if it rings while you are at the cash purchasing your lunch, you will win a prize! This could happen at break or at lunch. Get in the Holiday Spirit and make a purchase in the cafeteria in the days to come!

Happy Birthday today to:
                Sophie Jones
