KVHS Announcements  -  February 21, 2018
 
 
·         Today’s special in the cafeteria is: Hamburger soup and sandwich for $6.00
 
 
·         Yearbook staff will be selling yearbooks in the cafeteria at lunch time from February 12th – 28th. Books are going fast so don’t miss out!
 
 
·         UNB is holding a “Transition to University” parent and student information session on tonight at 6:30pm at the Marco Polo Cruise Terminal. More information in the guidance area.
 
 
·         Grads! Black and White Affair is coming up on Thursday, February 22 from 6-8pm. Make sure to mark your calendars for this awesome, semi-formal event with your grad class of 2018! Students with last names A-M, bring main course meals and N-Z bring desserts.
 
 
·         Upcoming university visits: Bishops University – February 21
          Memorial University – February 27, 12:30pm
           Acadia University – February 27, 9:30 – 11:30pm
 
·         Are you interested in building your leadership skills? The Horizons student leadership conference is a one day leadership conference taking place on Friday, April 6th from 9am – 2pm at Saint John High. The cost is $25 and includes lunch. If you would like to register, please see Mrs. Wright in room 136.
 
 
·         Hey Crusaders! We have our beach-themed coffee house February 28th from 6:30 – 8:30pm. For just FIVE dollars you can have some delicious food and great tunes. Musicians! The sign up sheet will be taken down in the next 2 days so write your name down ASAP.
 
·         There will be a ping pong tournament at KVHS, on March 1st. See Mr. Standring to register.
 
 
·         Computer Club is today at lunch in room 285. New members welcome!
 
 
·         Can all Jazz Band members please go see Ms. Palmer in the music room after the announcements today.
 
 
·         Attention all Blue Tones members: today’s rehearsal is for all members. All members please plan to attend after school on the stage.
 
 
·         Congratulations to Mr. Dunnett’s advisory for collecting the most socks for the sock drive. You’ve won a DQ Cake from KV Renaissance!!
 
 
·         Staff Yoga in the wellness center after school today.
 
 
·         Musicians who signed up for the upcoming coffee house, come to the blocks after announcements for an important meeting.
 
 
·         The boys hockey team won a nail biter against St. Macs in their first playoff game last night. Game 2 will be tonight at the LBR at 6:30pm. Good luck boys!
 
·         If you are interested in tickets for $5 to watch the girls basketball team play in the Final 12 on Saturday at 3pm, see Mrs. Morrison.
