Congratulations to the Chess Team on their Strong performance at the District Chess tournament this weekend at KVHS.  QMS earned a clean sweep amongst the grade 8’s with Isaac Hierlihy claiming 1st; Logan Mekwan earning 2nd and Cole Daigle Shephard coming in 3rd.  Alex Boudreau took second place in the grade 7’s.  Way to go!

Another Cougar Shout Out goes to the Saint John Water Polo Club who were undefeated at the Atlantic Water Polo tournament in Moncton this weekend! QMS Cougars scoring for the team were Will Bachynsky, Owen MacDonald and Owen Scott! Fantastic goal keeping by Adam MacMaster led the team to a shut-out against Halifax! Way to defend your title Saint John Water Polo.

Today there will be a band prep in Period 3 for grade 7/8 Band students
 
This is a reminder of grade 6 band after school today
 
There will be Singing Club practice tomorrow at lunch
 
Sports:
Good luck to the Varsity Girls Basketball team as they travel to Sussex for a 4:00pm game today.
 
The Varsity Boys basketball team will practice from 6:00-7:30pm.
 
We are in need of score keepers this Wednesday for the Varsity Girls basketball game – if you are interested please see Mr. Long.
 
Tomorrow, at lunch in Room 111, there will be an important Ski & Snowboard meeting for the 48 members who have been accepted on the team.

There will be no Satellite Cafeteria upstairs Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday this week.  Please come to the Main Cafeteria to purchase your morning snack.
 
The Turkey Drive sign-up sheet is now posted in the office on the window by the photocopier. Please decide what activity your class will be hosting and sign up soon.
 
Turkey Dinner ticket sales has been extended to include today.  Please come to ticket table at lunch to purchase.  $7.50.  Remember, that is this Wednesday and the cafeteria will be closed for all other lunches and use of microwaves.
 
Keep looking for the Cafeteria Elf at lunch time. Just like it is a different elf each day, we are looking for a different person to find the elf each day. If you have already spotted the elf, please let someone else be the first to locate him and tell Natalie. It’s the season of giving and sharing so share the fun with others!
 
Tickets to win an NHL game package are still on sale. Prize package includes 2 center ice tickets to see the Boston Bruins play the NY Rangers and one night in a hotel across from Boston Gardens. Tickets available from Mme Spinks or online through Cashless Schools, $10 each or 3/$20. If you are interested in selling tickets, please see Mme Spinks. Proceeds will support the purchase of instruments and equipment for the school music program.
