​The Grade 5 English classes of Mrs. Bryden and Mrs. Dunlop at Rothesay Elementary School participated in the Artist in Residency program.  This was a 10 week program with local artist Fabiola Martinez.  Students studied and created their own painting based on well-known New Brunswick architecture.  The focus was on historically significant buildings in our greater community.  After spending time with the artist and creating the wonderful pieces of artwork, that were displayed at Parent/Teacher, students have been invited to display their work at the Lord Beaverbrook Gallery in Fredericton.  We will be sending the artwork to Fredericton to be on display through June 15th.  This is a fantastic opportunity and we couldn’t be more proud of their hard work.  We would encourage you to take a drive to Fredericton to view this wonderful display of student artwork.
