A Cougar Pride Shout Out to our 3 participants in the KV Spelling Bee which took place yesterday. They certainly put all of their best spelling strategies to hard work which paid off immensely. 

 
Isaac Heirlihy placed in the top 10
Rachel McLean placed 4th
And Emma Tobin came in 1st place!  Yayyy!
 
Awesome job and thank you for all your hard work! You represented QMS with confidence and showed your best Cougar PRIDE. 
 
Sports: 
Congratulations to the Varsity Boys volleyball team on winning all of their games last night! A reminder to the varsity Boys volleyball team, the game tomorrow at RPS has been moved to Tuesday, May 7 at RPS.
 
The Varsity Girls volleyball team will practice from 3-4:30pm.
 
The JV Girls volleyball team will practice from 4:30-6pm.
 
Good luck to the JV Boys volleyball team as they travel to HMMS for games today.
 
Girls softball tryouts will start next week – Tuesday, April 30 and Thursday May 2 from 4:00-5:30pm. Please sign up outside the gym.
 
We are in need of score keepers for next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – if you are interested please see Mr. Long.

Attention all Knitting Club Members…  There will be an important Knitting Club meeting tomorrow in the Art Room at our usual time.  Please remember to pack your lunch and BRING YOUR KNITTING PROJECT along with you.   Knitting Club will be ending soon, so it’s important that everyone attend our lunch hour meeting this Friday.
 
Do you like basketball? Do you like fundraisers and charities? If so, join us this Friday in the gym for the Best Buddies’ Hoop It Up Challenge. Pay $2 and make as many free throws as possible in 60 seconds. Prizes will be awarded to top male, top female, and top buddy. First prize is a free movie pass. Second and third place prizes will also be awarded. Top score, in Canada, for male, female, and buddy, gets $500! See Mr. Morrison for more details, or just show up on Friday, at 12:15, in the gym, with your $2.
