Many of our schools recognized the 30th Annual French Pride Week including Loch Lomond School, seen here marching in their annual Tintamarre parade, an Acadian tradition.

First steps for the annual Marigold Project started this month at Prince Charles School with the planting of the seeds! Can’t wait to watch them grow.

St. Martins School learned how making maple syrup started with the First Nations people and grew to using kettles and evaporators, during their Sugarbush experience and trip to Elmhurst Outdoors.

M. Gerald Teed students celebrated Andy Warhol during their school Art Day and created their own masterpieces. 

Many of our schools wore colourful socks to celebrate diversity and inclusion on World Down Syndrome Day, including Grand Bay Primary, seen here.

Hampton Elementary received $100,000 towards their accessible playground via the Enabling Accessibility grant! Special guests MP Lockhart and Mayor Chorley visited the school for the presentation.

Hammond River Valley Elementary became ASD-S's latest Heart Healthy School! This is an initiative of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of NB aimed at improving the school environment to support and promote healthy lifestyle choices for kids.

Our schools continue to benefit from the generosity of community partners. For example, Princess Elizabeth received a very generous donation to the breakfast and snack program from Kings Church.  

Kustom Auto provided a very generous donation of running shoes and gift cards to several of our schools. Thank you! 

Our schools continue their own efforts to give back. Just one example is Harry Miller Middle School. Students and staff have been collecting new socks to donate to Outflow, Hestia, and Coverdale Centre, as well as collecting funds to support SJ Community Foundation and the David Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund.
