There is still time to nominate your favourite teacher or early childhood educator for the Minister’s Excellence in Education Awards.

This award recognizes educators who demonstrate outstanding skills in:

• Innovative educational practices and leadership
• Responding to the diverse needs of all learners
• Lifelong learning
• Fostering a positive learning environment

This is a great opportunity to acknowledge an individual who demonstrates exceptional commitment and dedication to students and early learners. Individuals or groups, including parents and students can submit nominations. 

Nomination forms can be found here. 

The form will ask you to provide a brief overview highlighting the key ways in which the nominee demonstrates their outstanding skills, as well as two letters of support from different individuals or groups.

Send the completed form and the two letters to the school district office (asdsinfo@nbed.nb.ca) no later than Tuesday, June 18, 2018.

Last year we were proud to have winners Sharlene Jackson and Shawnee McConchie, (Wonderland Childcare), Andrew Jones (Grand Manan Community School), and Christopher Graham (Saint John High School), representing the extraordinary teaching in ASD-S.
