Dear Families

I hope you had a fun weekend and are ready for another great week in grade three!  Make sure your child is dressed warm for the cold weather.  Please make sure we have your correct contact information in the event of an emergency.  Thank you for all your support!

Homework

·         Each week, your child will be bringing home books at his/her independent reading level (good fit books). Please make time each night to allow your child to read these to you.  An important component of strengthening your child’s reading skills is regular home reading practice. Ask your child about what they are reading and have them answer questions.
·         For some fun math practice at home with your child, continue to practice how to measure and record perimeter in (cm and m) at home.  Make sure to visit the Xtra Math site for practice on basic math facts.
·         As always if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me at school, send a note in your child’s communication bag, or send me an email.
