School Memo # 28 - Monday, April 9th, 2018

Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

Good afternoon Creeker Families!

At this time of year, I want to remind you all that you need to check each morning regardless of the current weather, to make sure there are no school delays or closures, bus delays or cancellations. This can be done via the school or district website, http://web1.nbed.nb.ca/sites/asd-w/Pages/default.aspx, twitter, listening to a local radio station, or phoning the hotline at 453-5454 or 1-888-388-4455. In addition, this is the time of year when the weather changes significantly from day to day. One day it may be below -20 but later in the day it is predicted to be +10.  So please keep an eye on the weather forecast for the day when you are preparing the children to come to school, and bring appropriate hats, mitts, etc.

Update on the Scholastic Book Fair:   We will have Credit and Debit card payments available.

Book fair hours-
Wednesday April 11- 12noon-4pm
Thursday April 12- 7:30am-7pm (students can visit during the day)
Friday April 13- (no school/parent-teacher interviews)- 8am-12noon

If you can volunteer at the book fair, please let our librarian Rebecca Doucette know. Her email is Rebecca.Doucette2@nbed.nb.ca

As well, we are working on compiling our yearbook. If you are interested in sponsoring a page in the yearbook for your business, please let Mrs. Ghanem know and she will coordinate this with you. Please sign up for this if you would like to, by Friday April 13.

Reminder to all: if you wish to place an order for school clothing, please make sure you have paid online for the order before you send back the slip for the order. If you don't do this it will be difficult to reconcile payments on our part and could mean that we will have to contact you to straighten it out.
