Good afternoon Creeker families,

The days are getting longer, bit by bit but the days of learning are getting shorter – we will be celebrating day 100 this Tuesday!

New Staff:  I would like to welcome Sarah Farquhar who will be replacing Alex McLeod in Grade 5 FI.  We wish Mme. McLeod all the best in her maternity leave and best wishes on the arrival of her new baby.

Reminders for the week ahead:

Winterlude Fun!  - This week we will have a variety of activities throughout the week for a little bit of fun as move into March Break. We will continue to focus on learning but will have fun doing so. Please see the attachment as well as notes below 

French Immersion Registration – a reminder to register for French Immersion ( Grade 1 or Grade 6) if you are interested but have not yet done so. Registration for French Immersion for the 2019-2020 school year will be done electronically through the following hyperlink to the ASD-W web site:

Hot lunch – a reminder that cycle 3 for the pizza hot lunch is available for ordering and payment at school cash online. This is due by Tuesday.

March Break – March Break is next week – the week of March 4^th. We hope you all enjoy the time with your families and students come back rejuvenated for more learning J

Pink Shirt Day – Wednesday is Pink Shirt Day  - this is a day to wear pink in awareness of  and promote a focus of diversity and respect.

It is an opportunity to engage in discussions around the difference in being kind/mean or bullying, tattling vs telling/reporting and other aspects of diversity and respect. If students do not have pink, that is ok! No need to buy something. Our Guidance teacher is providing information to teachers to use on this day.\

100^th Day Food Challenge – thank you for your many donations .. our last day for this challenge is on 100^th day! Let’s keep up the awesome donations!

Friday March 1 – Creeker Colours/Clothing Day/ Bingo/ Calithumpians presentation 9:00 / Fit Friday in the afternoon / K lunch / UNB Girls Code Club begins

Tues Mar 12^th – Robin Paul in for First Nations Art presentations (am)/ Tavis Marr presenting on bees and their importance for grades 3 and 4 FI( afternoon)   

Thurs Mar 14 – Grades 4-5 to the playhouse to view Justin Flom ( 10:00 am)

Fri Mar 15^th – Yearbook pictures being taken / K Lunch

Tues Mar 19 – District STEAM Fair / Home and School Meeting 6:30 pm

Fri Mar 22 – no school – Professional collaboration and PL day for staff / Doodle sign up goes live at 11 for Achievement Report Conferences
