Wellness calendar will have the current schedule:

Soccer: September to the end of October.

X-Country: September to the middle of October. Usually a weekly practice and race.

Basketball: Late October to end of January.

Badminton: End of January to end of March

Volleyball: End of March to the end of May

Track & Field: May and June

Fees:

A fee is needed for most of our sports. It is different for each sport based on costs to cover items such as scorekeepers, referees, tournaments and purchasing team equipment and shared uniforms over time. If you have any questions about paying the fee please speak with the Athletic Director, Mr. Graham @ mark.graham@nbed.nb.ca.

Practices and Competitions:

Teams usually meet for 1-2 practices and a game each week. The calendar is always the most up to date schedule. You can click on an a calendar event to potentially see additional
information (ex. map of the location, parking and enterance instructions, etc). Most events are around Fredericton, but some teams can travel to rural areas or away for weekend tournaments (ex. b-ball and volleyball tournament in Saint John or Moncton).

Tryouts:

Some of our teams have tryouts as we can only select a certain number of players. Selection to the team the previous year does not guarantee a position on the team for future years. Athletes are chosen based on:

- Athletic ability

- Attitude that reflects being a student first and positive example to others during activities

- Commitment to practices and games

Transportation:

All transportation to and from any event is a family's responsibility. Ex. Students choosing to walk or bike to Barker Street Pitch or Morell Park for soccer would be done without an adult supervising. We encourage students to travel with a buddy or as a small group, but this is not organized by the school or coaches. Coaches will meet players at the playing location.

Uniforms:

At the last event of the season the coach will collect uniforms before athletes leave. If an athlete fails to return their uniform, a fee
can be charged and/or participation in another activity will be withheld.

Acronyms for teams:
Varsity: Combination of Gr. 7 and 8 students.
JV: Combination of Gr. 6 and 7 students.
Gr. 6: Only Gr. 6 students.

Schools we play outside of ASD-W:
EAEC: École Arc-En-Ciel (Oromocto francophone school)
ELE: École Les Éclaireurs (northside francophone school)
ESA: École Sainte-Anne (southside francophone school)
FCA: Fredericton Christian Academy (private school)
