Bursaries for Postsecondary Studies in French as a Second Language

​English-speaking Canadians enrolled in the first year of a college or university program have an opportunity to receive a $3,000 bursary to perfect their bilingualism while studying in a field of interest.This new, yearly program was established by the Government of Canada. Its aim is to encourage young English-speaking students to pursue their postsecondary studies in French. • Current resident of NB, NS or NFLD.
• Current Secondary Student (or has graduated within the past 12 months).
• Accepted and entering a Canadian College or University in the 2020/21 academic year.

Awarded annually, the scholarship is valued at $2,000. The deadline to apply is June 30th, 2020.

Scholarships will be awarded to current graduates of NB  high schools  who are enrolled in a University in NB, NS or PEI in the fall of the same year and who are interested in preparing for a career in businss. New Brunswick Public Colleges Entrance Scholarship 2020-2021

All New Brunswick high school graduate students accepted (or on a waiting list) in the current year at any campus of the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) or the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design are eligible. ​Please return this completed application form to tracy.gatto@nbed.nb.ca no later than May 27The applicationcan form can be  found here​.

IBD Scholarship

The deadline for post-secondary students to apply to the AbbVie IBD Scholarship Program is quickly approaching as applications must be submitted by 5 pm EST on June 1.Committed to helping students achieve academic success, Crohn's and Colitis Canada will award ten one-time scholarships worth $5,000 to students who are enrolled at Canadian post-secondary institutions for the upcoming 2020 fall semester.

French as a Second Language Summer Program


Students can register for this program by using the following link, set up by the Université de Moncton: Online Registration


This year there will be no cost to students, but you must be registered by the deadline and have completed all documentation ahead of time.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a virtual online program in French provided through the Université de Moncton will be offered this summer.  

The online French program will consist of themed weeks over a four-week period in the month of July.  Students can choose to register in as many weeks as they want, up to the maximum of four weeks. 

Here are the choices for the four weeks:

  • Week 1 (June 29 - July 3, 2020): Sports & Wellness 

  • Week 2 (July 6 - 10, 2020): Environment & Science 

  • Week 3 (July 13 - 17, 2020):  Arts & Music

  • Week 4 (July 20 - 24, 2020):  Drama & Literature
