"In the RED ZONE: Youth Action, Climate Change, and COVID 19"

​The NB Youth Environmental Network will be holding a free youth-led and youth-geared conference on March 6th.

 It is a free virtual event called that will give youth opportunities to network in the environmental sector in NB. They will also share extracurricular and volunteer opportunities.

Bishop's University Virtual Q&A Sessions

Join one of the 4 sessions  which will be held every other week from Feb 17th to March 31st.   Each session will be open for 1 hour from 7 PM – 8 PM ADT.  Please use the link bellow to register and join the virtual event.

 

These info sessions are for student and parents n the Atlantic provinces. Each session will begin with a short presentation about Bishop’s and will end with a Q&A period.​

Att: Grade 12 Students!  $500 Scholarship Opportunity for Soccer Players!

The Fredericton Community Foundation is pleased to hold the Robert Morimanno Memorial Scholarship Fund.  This scholarship fund will disburse two $500 scholarships to assist deserving students with undergraduate study.   Scholarships will be awarded to one male and one female soccer player in their 12th year at one of the four local high schools (FHS, LHHS, ESA, OHS).

Doctor for a Day with Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick Virtual March Break Workshops

This five-part series of online workshops will provide the opportunity for 10 interested high school aged students to explore the study of medicine through guest presentations, educational activities, and discussions with medical students and health professionals. ​

Photojournalism Contest

​Kings College is hosting a workshop and competition for students interested in journalism or photography. The workshop is open to all high school students. King's photojournalism instructor Jeff Harper will teach basic photojournalism skills and how to shoot a photo essay. This session is open to all skill levels and whether students have a DSLR camera or a smartphone camera. The workshop will take place on Sunday, February 7, at 4:00 p.m. Atlantic Time. Register at this website

 The photo essay contest is open to only grade 12 students. They can take the skills they learned in the workshop and use them! The winner of the contest receives a Canon Rebel SL-3 camera, King's swag, and has their photo essay shown on the King's website. Please head to our website to find more information and see examples of similar photo essays.

 

The workshop and contest are open to students regardless if they have applied to King’s or not.
