Year-One Bursary

CareerBeacon has launched an exciting initiative in partnership with East Coast Lifestyle to offer The Year One Program that will award 10 bursaries worth $2,500 each to encourage and support first-year students as they embark on their academic journey.

Students entering their first year of post-secondary education in September 2023 can submit their applications today by heading to year-one.ca

Candidates must demonstrate the following qualities:

· Entrepreneurial spirit or change-making drive

· Creativity & innovation

· Leadership & teamwork

· Positive impact focus

The application deadline is May 31st, 2023.​

John A. and Jane Ann Young Memorial Award

JOHN A. AND JANE ANN YOUNG MEMORIAL AWARD

The Taymouth Community Association is now receiving applications for the John A. and Jane Ann Young Memorial Award. 

This prize will be awarded to a deserving individual who is a former student of any Nashwaak Valley or Stanley area school

and is enrolled in a university, college or undertaking more advanced studies in music. The amount of the award is $600.

To apply for this award, write a brief (400 to 500 words) explanation of the course in which you are enrolled. Include the 

course name, duration, location, your career plans as well as your connection to the community.

The deadline for application is July 8, 2023. Applications can be emailed to: taymouth2022@gmail.com with subject of 

Young Memorial Award or mail application to: Taymouth Community Association Att: Young Memorial Award

NBCC Open House

 

 

There’s never been a better time for your students to further their education

and prepare for the career of their dreams right here in New Brunswick. On 

Friday, May 26th and Friday, June 2nd, Spring Open House will provide students

the opportunity to explore our programs and campuses, meet with faculty and

staff, ask questions, and discover more about how NBCC could bring out their

extraordinary.

 

Do you have students who have already been admitted to NBCC? Great! These

events will provide them with the opportunity to discover more about their next

steps and tips on what they can do to prepare for next year.

 

All events will begin at 9:00 am and run until 1:00 pm. We will have information

sessions, campus tours, a program marketplace, representatives from

Working NB, and more. Please note that the programming from 9:00-10:00

will be geared specifically toward admitted NBCC students.

 

Plus, all students who attend will be eligible to win some awesome NBCC

prize packs and all admitted students who attend will have a chance at a $500

NBCC tuition credit!
