Dear Parent/Guardian:
Horizon Health Network Public Health will be offering the following two
vaccines to all grade 9 students this year:
Meningococcal vaccine
(protection against invasive
meningococcal disease caused by Neisseria meningitis type A, C, Y and
W-135)
Varicella
vaccine
(protection against chickenpox
disease). This is a booster dose to the Varicella vaccine received during
childhood.
Note:
Your child does not need this vaccine if they have already
received two doses or had chickenpox disease after one year of age that
was confirmed by a blood test.
If this is the first dose of Varicella vaccine
for your child, please call Public Health to book an appointment for the second
dose.
The date for the clinic at

17, 2023.
