Bath Community School receives funding for renovations and repairs

Body

The provincial government is investing $250,000 into Bath Community School as part of the 2017-18 capital budget. The funds will support the planning of upcoming renovations.

The work will include renovations to ensure current Building Code requirements are met. Learning spaces will also receive upgrades, along with mechanical and electrical systems, and the building’s exterior. Site improvements will also be included in the project.

“Anglophone West School District is pleased this work is becoming a reality,” said Superintendent David McTimoney. “We welcome this investment by the provincial government to renovate and repair Bath Community School.”

The existing middle school was built in 1954. In September 2015, it also began serving K-5 students when the nearby elementary school was closed.
