This Week in Grade 4 - March 12-16

I hope everyone had a chance to rest and spend time together as a family over the break. January & February flew by, and we only have 13 days together before the long Easter weekend.

We have a lot going on this week: Ms. Dingman from St. Thomas will be joining our class on and will be with us until early May. She will be mainly observing this week and then assuming more of the teaching responsibilites over the coming weeks.

Upcoming events:

March 12 - Roland Bibeau Concert @ 1:00                                                                           March 13 - Presentation on Natural Resources                                                                       March 15 - UNB Hockey @ 1:00                                                                                                  March 16 - Crazy Hair Day

Reading - Students are working in small group instruction and literature circles. Students will also be selecting a new reading goal over the next two weeks.

Writing - Students will create a recount story from their March Break. We will be reviewing all our writing outcomes this week in mini-lessons. Students will also be selecting a new goal after we assess this writing piece.

Math - Review of outcomes in multiplication, division and number patterns. Students will be rotating through 5 independent stations.

Health - We are beginning a new unit on Personal Safety. We will be working on these outcomes for the 4 weeks.
