Hello Kindergarten Parents/Caregivers,

I would imagine you are getting excited or perhaps nervous or a maybe bit of both as we get closer to the 2021-2022 school year. Please note, due to our current school operational plan and the limiting of outside contact within our school, this year we will have a virtual kindergarten orientation. The current plan is to send you a video made by some of our grade 5 students and some of our current K students. It will highlight the school as well as a “day in the life of kindergarten”. We hope you and your student will enjoy it.

Our K teachers will also send you a short presentation highlighting a few things parents can do to help prepare your student for success in the school system.

It is important to note that we do not accept requests for class placements. Please do not ask for your student to be in a class with friends. Your student will make lots of friends over the course of their school career. We also want our students to become resilient by helping them overcome uncomfortable situations that will arise as they grow.

We typically hold our meet the teacher on Thursday, prior to school starting. Be on the lookout for more details in late August. We are hopeful we are back to a more normal school year in September.
