Nackawic Canoe Club met this week to decide which members would want to build their own canoe paddle after March Break is over. There seemed to be 6 members interested. The cost is $45.00 to build a paddle and we will start laminating up the paddle blanks after school and then spend a Saturday shaping the paddles. Following that, it will take time after school sanding and varnishing. The goal is to have our new paddles ready for our first canoe trip this spring.
