​Hello NMS Families! 

UNB Reds Athletes Council and She is Active is presenting “She Active with the Reds” on Saturday, December 14th on the UNB Fredericton Campus. This event is for all girls in grade 3-8 and will provide exposure to basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming & hockey.

2019 FEC Cross Country Series

The FEC Cross Country Series for students will open and September 18th. The event is open to any studetns in grades 3-5 with school practices on Monday's and Friday's at lunch and weekly meets on Wednesday Afternoons. The scheule for this year is as follows:

Wednesday Sept 18 - Henry Park  
Wednesday Sept 25 - McAdam Ave. 
Wednesday Oct 2 -  Odell Park
Wednesday Oct 9 - District Finals (Nasis Midde)
Wednesday Oct 16 - Rain DAte for Districts

If your child is interested in taking part in this event then please see Mr. Moore at the office for a permission form or print the attachment and bring it to the office!

UNB Northside Schools Hockey Night

​Hello everyone:

 It is time to give you the date for the most popular UNB REDS hockey event of the year.

 North Side Elementary School Night

Saturday, February 9th  vs. Dalhousie Tigers - 7pm at the Aitken Centre

 

The UNB REDS look forward to hosting  students, staff and families again this season. This event is a highlight of the year for their student athletes. They very much appreciate the Elementary School night with all the kids and the excitement they bring to the game.

 

1.         Parents are now responsible to pick up their child’s complimentary ticket and purchase their own through the UNB box office.  Each student MUST have a game ticket. Each school has been assigned a section by the box office. When parents purchase their tickets, they will just need to mention which school they are from.

 

2.        Parents of students will receive half price admission of $6, which will also be honored on game night this year.  Although, parents are encouraged to pick up their tickets by 4pm on Friday, February 8th at the box office.  If parents wait until game night they could arrive and find out the game is sold out. UNB cannot make the half-price ticket available on line as it is only valid for North Side Elementary School parents and the ticketing system is unable to differentiate them from other fans.

 

3.         The Aitken Centre box office is open 11:00am to 4:00pm weekdays for ticket purchases. 


We hope you can join us for a fun evening as we cheer the REDS in to the Playoffs!

Badminton Jamboree Nov 21

The ASD-W Northside Badmonton Jamboree will take place this afternoon at the Richard J. Currie Center on the UNB Campus. Our School will be sending nine, Grade 5 competitors to the event! 

Reminder that drop off time for Students is 1pm and there is no bus provided by the school as was stated in the permission form. This activity will take place in the practice Gym on the first level! Parents are invited to watch but are reminded that parking will be limited and to arrive early to secure a spot. Pick up time for the students will be approx 2:40.

Cross Country Update

​Race #3 in our series will take place Wednesday, Oct 3 at McAdam Avenue School. Races are expected to start at 1:15 pm with the Grade 3 competitors. Expected finish time will be 2pm. Please be aware that there is still construction on Sunset Drive and allow additional time for delays and parking.  If weather is poor updates will be posted to the school website in the morning.

​The Cross Country Meet schedule for today at Henry Park has been cancelled due to poor weather. The series will continue on next week at McAdam Avenue.

Gibson Neil Cross Country Meet !!

​Tomorrow is our first Cross Country Meet of the season! The studens had a very successful practice this afternoon at lunch and are ready to go! We have a few reminders we want to pass on as you prepare for the first race!

1. Please remember Suncreen, Water, Proper Shoes/Clothing, and your lunch!

2. Students will be bussed from NMS to the race venue. Parents are invited to watch the event but please sign out your child from a staff member before leaving. Pick up times for students will be between 2:15 and 2:30.  

3. Sportsmanship and Personal Goals are what we are striving for! Do your best and cheer on your friends!
