Dear Parents and Families,
A few notes about this week:
1) French homework-I have sent home a list of Grade 1 High Frequency words that your child needs to work on for approximately 5 minutes, 3-4 times a week at home. They can read the words, write them out, write a sentence with them, break it into syllables, etc. Please help them practice just a few minutes at home.
2) Reading-15 minutes/evening Monday-Thursday in French. The Fredericton Public library is a great resource for beginner French books if you want to borrow some for free!
3) Math-students are working on their numbers to 100, odd and even numbers and skipping by 2's, and 5's and 10's.
4) Terry Fox Walk this Thursday, Sept 27th at 11:30AM. Please wear appropriate clothing to run/walk.
5) DFS Catalog Fundraiser-forms and payment due Sept 28th this Friday!
6) Students will be participating in the Hour of Power on a weekly basis on Wednesday mornings as part of a STEAM intiative at our school. Each classroom will be exploring a new 'Make, Explore, Create' bin this week to engage learning in various ways! Ask your child for an update.

8) Guided Reading groups began today and will run for 4 weeks in French! Students are engaged in reading!
