Hello families,

I hope you have all had a restful weekend.  I am ready for a great week ahead!  Hope you and yours are too :)

Reading 15 minutes per night in French. Please check-in with your child to see if they are bringing home X2 books from class to read each night and return - if not - please have them read X2 books on the following site: https://www.readinga-z.com/
Practicing basic math facts with Xtra-math or flashcards.
Our school will be beginning to use Fresh Grade as a consistent approach to communicating information and learning with parents. Keep an eye out for an invitation later this week.
Wednesday is Take Me Outside Day. We will be discussing the importance of spending time outdoors and taking some time to learn outdoors.
Wednesday is also World Polio Day. Please wear purple to show your support to help end polio.
A reminder that Tuesday is our library day.
Picture re-takes will be happening Thursday.
In literacy students will be beginning to work on their leader projects. We have been researching interesting facts and important details about their leader the past few days. A few students may need to complete their research at home if they are not finished.

Upcoming dates:
Oct 29th - Nov 8th: We Scare Hunger food bank drive
Oct 31st: We will be having a small Halloween celebration from 11-12. Please feel free to send in a healthy-type snack
Oct 31st: Pumpkin Walk
Nov 9th: No school for students due to professional learning
Have a great week!
