Currently in
our grade 5 flex math groups we are reviewing representing and describing whole
numbers up to 1 000 000 (N1). In
class we have been using the below site as a warm up. Please feel free to have your child practice
at home. Level CE2 is a great starting
point. We challenged ourselves in class
with the CM + College level and it was great fun! Students listen to a number
read aloud then type in the standard form (forme symbolique) of the number (E.g. 89 251).

Students need to have a solid understanding
of place value – this site offers a great place to practice and to make
