The second day of activities for Hour of Coding for the grade four and five students quickly became
their favorite. They were able to use their knowledge from day one and apply it to writing codes
for programs on the IPad. The students soon learned the advantage of incorporating "loops" in
their codes. The particularly enjoyed writing codes for the Minecraft game. The purpose of The
Hour of Coding is to introduce students to this concept and have them continue with the
exploration. Each child was given their own sign in to continue with this fun on their own. Have
fun!
