One of our hackmatack authors (Karin Adams) became known for her use of scaphic novels. This

is the process of taking scraps and creating a scene for the novel. A picture is then taken of this

scene and used in the book. The students are in the process of creating their very

own scraphic novel page from their favorite book. Complete with flaps, ribbons, scrap paper and bows, the students have found out that it is a longer process than they originally anticipated.
