Upper Miramichi Elementary School presents music and arts event

​Grade 4 students at Upper Miramichi Elementary School have been working on a project called: Exploring the History and Culture of the Majestic Miramichi River through music, dance, movement, storytelling and visual arts.

On Feb. 15, artists Michelle Daigle and Don Rigley of Frantically Atlantic Entertainment will join with the students in a presenting a show at the school based on their history and culture project. Frantically Atlantic is an East Coast style musical duo with a broad repertoire of traditional and original songs and tunes in both official languages. The talented duo have been performing at a wide variety of venues across the Maritimes since 2015. The project at Upper Miramichi Elementary was made possible through an Arts Smart funding grant. The funding program links students with local artists and provides them with the opportunity to express themselves and to think creatively and critically through education in the arts.
