Positive Behavior Supports and News

Hello Parents/Guardians and Families,

Last week we met with students Grade 3-5 to co-create what Respectful behavior looks like in our school.  Since that time we have established a new process for students to learn from their behavior and to communicate with home.  Praise Slips - hopefully you will see Praise Slips from time to time that shows your child being caught demonstrating Positve Behaviors.  At the end of each week we will draw 1 name for every 10 Praise Slips for Positvie Praise Prizes.  Students may also, from time to time, bring home Think,Reflect, Change sheets.  Teachers will be providing these to students when they can learn from their mistake and make more postive choices.  The intent is for the studnet to Think about their behavior, Reflect on what it should have looked like and Change one thing next time.   Both forms are to be sent home for parent awareness and signed and returned to the school.  If you have any questions please ask your homeroom teacher or feel free to contact the shcool.  Thanks Mr. R. Meesters
