Hello MAS families! We have had a great week here at MAS. On Thursday we held our school wide Terry Fox walk. Our students have made a donation of $80 to the Terry Fox Foundation and his Marathon of Hope! On Friday we saw many students and staff dressed in Orange to honor the children that attended Indian Residential Schools. As we say "Goodbye" to September and "Hello" to October, just a reminder to be sure your child is coming to school prepared for the fun fall weather.
A few reminders:
Cross-Country- The second meet for those signed up in grades 3-5 is on Wednesday here at McAdam Avenue. Students that have signed up to run and permission are welcome to stay and eat lunch at school on that day. Pick up after run is at 2:00pm.
Home and School- On October 4th we will be sending home our first fundraising event of the school year- Santa's Little Helper. Please keep your eye out for more details.
Apple Picking- On Friday, October 5th we will all be going to River View Orchard to join in learning fun in apple picking, hay ride, corn maze, and building relationships. Last year many students enjoyed the gigantic sand box and getting dirty. Students will need to dress for the weather on that day and bring snack and lunch. Reminder to please send in you $4.00 or pay on schoolcashonline. We would like to thank our parents and our Home and School for supporting this trip.

Thursday, Oct. 4- Hot Lunch Great Canadian Bagel. Santa's Little Helper Fundraiser goes home.
Friday, Oct. 5- Apple Picking Field Trip- cost $4 per student
