Hello MAS families! We have had an exciting week at MAS. This week we practiced our safe schools procedures and drills. The whole school did amazing in all drills. It was wonderful to see how quick and quietly they move in fire drills, site evacuation, and how attentive they were during bus safety. We will continue to practice fire drills periodically throughout the school year.
Tuesday we had lights out for two hours with the high winds, but classrooms went on as usual. During all this we had our new water fountain installed that has a sensor water bottle filler. The students are quite enjoying filling up bottles and drinking lots of water. Today we had out first day of Leo Hayes leadership students visit. The students took part in 6 different activities and will rotate to each activity throughout the visits.

Santa's Little Helper Fundraiser- Reminder order forms and money due on Monday, October 22.
Halloween Howl- We are excited for our upcoming Halloween Howl on Friday, October 26th, 5:30-7:30. A notice went home on Monday. Please feel free to bring siblings, friends, cousins, etc. All children attending must purchase a bracelet to do the activities. The bracelet includes activities, pizza, drink, and treat bag at the end of the evening. You are able to purchase bracelets, pizza, and drinks online through cashless schools. We are still looking for cake/cupcake donations for the cake walk room. Please contact the school if willing to donate. Great night to mingle, meet new friends, and have fun. Look forward to seeing everyone! Don't forget your costume!
Sustainability Study DEC Meeting- Meeting number 2 for the sustainability study is on Thursday, October 25th at 6:30pm here at McAdam Avenue. All are welcome to attend.
Playhouse Field trip- On Monday October 29th we will be going to the playhouse to see Robinson Crusoe and Friday. The show is at 11am.
