October Nighthawks of the Month
 ALISON ALWARD

You are always very involved at NHS, a hard worker in class and generally friendly.   You gave up your free-time to help keep score for a local club volleyball team.   This was very appreciated by your peers and parents as they did not have to do it.  You did not need to be asked, it was totally volunteer.    You and your friends took it upon yourselves to prepare a Scavenger Hunt for our Halloween Best Buddies Party. You also helped our Buddies prepare their cupcakes and partnered with them during the party.  You have participated in the program for two years and have never wavered with your dedication. You have encouraged our Buddies as well as other students to participate in the program.  You are, regardless of the day, interacting with the Buddies and ensuring that no student is left on the outside. Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for October 2019!

JASMINE HARRISON

You come to class each day prepared and ready to start work.  You are often seen helping others in the class when they are struggling with the tasks required.  Not only do you ensure that your work is accomplished but assists others in doing the same.  When time is missed, you are diligent in ensuring you have collected anything necessary and has even sent things to school with other students when you are ill to ensure they arrive on the date necessary.  You are a pleasure to teach and have in the room. Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for October 2019!

MADDY BANKS

You have made your mark at NHS in the 2 months you have been here! You are a stellar student and a wonderful addition to our student body.  You have been extremely keen and eager to participate in every aspect of PE Leadership 120. You have been instrumental in painting murals within the school to help liven up the halls. You were a key member in the Terry Fox Fundraising this year.  You also volunteered your time freely at the NBIAA Provincial Soccer Showcase.  The Executive Director of the NBIAA was extremely impressed with your eagerness and willingness to help in any way possible.  You have also volunteered throughout the month working in the school store! Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for October 2019!

TAYLOR CURTIS

You have noticed that there is much more litter than usual being thrown aside by NHS students around the property. On your own accord, you asked if you would be able to go around the grounds of the school and clean up the litter so that the school and property would be more presentable and welcoming. You spent your time making the school grounds look spotless. We appreciate the respect you have demonstrated and the pride you have taken in being a Nackawic Nighthawk. Your leadership in this regard will certainly only have a positive impact on our school culture. Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for October 2019!
