Hello MAS
Families! Here we are heading into our last week of school. This past week we
had an amazing whole school field trip to Green Hill Lake Camp. Students went
kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, made s'mores, tried archery, go carting,
and climbing. It was a great day and the weather was amazing. This week we also
held a special evening for our grade 5 students.
It was a great night with staff and students. We sure will miss this group as
they head off to middle school!
Reminders:
MAS Color Splash Dash- Thank you to all of our Color Dash participants for
supporting our fundraising event. It was very successful event
raising approximately $2430. This money will be used to cover the
cost of our Green Hill Lake trip and our year end family picnic and
also 10% of our funds raised goes to the Feed the Lions program. I
would like to say a big 'THANK YOU' to our home and school for supporting this
event and to Amanda and Helga who spent many many hours planning and
organizing the event. Our little school couldn't offer the wonderful
enrichment activities we do for our students without this support.

Breakfast Program- Tuesday (June 18, 2019) - Breakfast
will be cereal and fruit smoothies.
Creative
Cluster Showcase and Family BBQ- Reminder our showcase and Family BBQ is on Wednesday, June
19th. Families are invited to school for 11:15am to visit your child's Creative
Cluster to share in their celebration and learning. After the showcase we
invite you to join us on the back playground for a BBQ that will be
kindly provided by our MAS Home and School. Everyone is invited and
it is free of charge! If you plan on attending, please complete the
MonkeySurvey to indicate your attendance and required amount of hot dogs and
drinks for your family by Monday, June 17th. We hope you are able to

Grade 5 Celebration- We will be
celebrating our Grade 5 students on Thursday, June 20th at 10:30am.
Parents and family of the grade 5 students are invited to the event. Students
will receive certificates, hear from a previous student
about middle school, share a song, and there will be academic awards in
literacy (Jackie Clark Memorial award), Numeracy, Physical Education, and
Music. There will be cake and drinks for all following the
celebration.
Community Garden- Our community garden is almost done and we
are still looking for families that would be willing to
volunteer a night or two over the
summer to help tend to the garden. If you are willing to help out or would like more info please
call Roxy in the office 453-5422.

Tuesday June 18- Tots N Taters Hot Lunch. Drama Cast Party.
Wednesday June 19- Creative Cluster Showcase and Year End Family BBQ
Thursday June 20- Great Canadian Bagel hot lunch. Grade 5
Celebration 10:30. Kindergarten presentation at 1:00pm.
Friday June 21- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL- full day. Talent Show, Water
Day, and Dance Party!
