Hello MAS Families! Hard to believe we are already in the last week of October. I guess the saying “Time flies when you’re having fun” holds true.
I want to THANK all those that helped create our outdoor classroom last Saturday. Many hands made for light quick work. All students have been out to enjoy it as a class, and I invite families to come outside school hours to visit the space. It is amazing! I would also like to say thank you to those that made a donation to the outdoor classroom. We still have lots to add to it, but it has been a great start.
Important information Items-
Pumpkin Carving Fundraiser- As a wellness/Feed the Lions fundraiser, staff have carved their best Jack-o-lanterns! Students will be given the opportunity to vote and possibly win their favourite jack-o-lantern. Pumpkins will be on display on Monday and Tuesday in the hallway. On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, students can purchase voting tickets 1 for 0.50cents or 3 for $1.00. Each vote will go towards crowning the winning staff pumpkin and the opportunity for students to win their favourite jack-o-lantern to take home in time for Halloween. The draw for the jack-o-lanterns will be on Thursday at the end of the day.
Construction- Looks like Monday will hopefully be our last day of construction. Students will still be dropped off at first blue pole near parking lot. Hopefully by Tuesday we will be all set to resume as normal.
October 30- NO School for students.
Papa Johns- Pizza Day has been changed for this week from Friday, October 30th to THURSDAY, October 29th. For those that ordered pizza you will still get it this week, but on Thursday instead of Friday.
Picture Orders- Pictures orders if paying through paper order form needs to be submitted. Please let us know if your child will be having a retake. We are in process of scheduling a retake date.
Career Week- Atlantic Canada Career week is November 2-6th. We are looking for any parents that would like to video stream into their child’s classroom and share what you do for a living. This is a wonderful way to enrich the learning of our students.
Halloween Fun- Students are invited to dress in orange and black on Thursday for some Halloween fun.

Tuesday, Oct. 27- Hot Lunch- Great Canadian Bagel.
Wednesday, Oct. 28- Pumpkin voting
Thursday, Oct. 29- Halloween Fun- Dress in Orange and Black. Pumpkin voting and draw. Hot Lunch- Papa Johns Pizza
Friday, Oct. 30- No school for Students. Staff PL.
