Hello Families of Woodstock
High School and Townsview School,
This
is to inform you that Public Health is lifting the global self-isolation
requirements for Saturday January 9th and Sunday January 10th,
effective immediately.
Some students and school
personnel have been contacted individually by Public Health and are required to
self-isolate. These students and school personnel must continue to follow
the directives that were given to them.
We would like to thank you for
your cooperation this weekend. This has allowed the Public Health team to
do contact tracing and help keep our communities safe.
It is natural to want to know
if you or your child have been exposed to the virus. Public Health officials
have informed those who are at risk of the next steps. If you have not been
contacted, you no longer have to self-isolate.
Children and young people look
to the adults in their lives to guide them on how to react to worrying and
stressful events. Parents are encouraged to talk to their children about any
anxieties and remind them to treat one another with kindness and respect, in
person and on social media.
If
you or your child is showing any symptoms of COVID-19, you should:
- Register them online for a test
by clicking “Get tested” on the GNB corona virus website (www.gnb.ca/coronavirus),
or
- Contact Tele-Care 811, or
- Contact your primary care
provider.
The
811 operators or your primary care provider will evaluate your child before
sending them for testing.
Thank you for helping keep our
school, community, and province safe. I wish you all the best this week
in your remote learning experience.
Sincerely,
David McTimoney -
Superintendent
