Remote Learning for Townsview School and Woodstock High School continues until January 21

Article Posted: Thursday, January 14, 2021

Good Evening Woodstock High School and Townsview School Families,

Following consultation between the schools, the district and the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, we can confirm that the current remote learning in place at your schools will continue until Thursday, January 21, inclusive.  Students can return to school, in person (and as per the previous schedule for WHS), on Friday, January 22.  This will allow for those who are in self-isolation...staff and students alike...to finish their precautionary measures and allow full operations to be back in place on Friday, January 22.  Please note...if a staff member or student has instructions from Public Health to remain in self-isolation beyond January 21, those directions remain in effect.

I have had very positive feedback on the commitment of students and their engagement with learning.  I am grateful to the teachers and staff who are working hard to make sure the learning continues in a meaningful way.  If you have questions about the continued learning specific to the classes, please reach out to the appropriate classroom teacher or school administration.

All the best and stay safe!

David McTimoney, Superintendent
