Good evening families of Meduxnekeag Consolidated School,
This afternoon we were informed of new Covid-19 cases at the school. We are
working with Public Health officials to identify any students and school
personnel who may have been in contact with the cases. Anyone identified as a
close contact will receive a letter from Public Health with specific
instructions on what to do next. Your school principal will send this letter.
Please note that in
response to the current Covid-19 situation at the school, starting tomorrow,
December 14, all students will move to distance learning for the rest of the
week. Teachers will connect with families and students and
provide activities for continued learning.
For students in grades Kindergarten to 6, the holiday break will begin at
the end of the day on Friday, December 17, instead of midday on Thursday,
December 23, as originally planned.
For students in grades 7 and 8, we will reassess the situation on Friday,
December 17 and advise you on plans for the following week.
Thank you for your continued cooperation as we navigate the pandemic.
