Good evening families of Devon Middle School,
Today we were informed
of new Covid-19 cases at the school. We are working with Public Health
officials to identify any students and school personnel who may have been in
contact with the cases.
Please note that in
response to the current Covid-19 situation at the school, starting tomorrow,
December 15, all students will move to distance learning for the rest of the
week.
Teachers
will connect with families and students and provide activities for continued
learning.
For students in grade 6,
the holiday break will begin at the end of the day on Friday, December 17,
instead of midday on Thursday, December 23, as originally planned.
For students in grades 7
and 8, we will reassess the situation on Friday, December 17 and advise you on
plans for the following week.
Please remember, even though they are not
reporting to class in person at this time, all students are asked to continue
with rapid testing daily and monitor for symptoms. If symptoms appear or a
rapid test shows positive, please stay home and
book atest
immediately.
