District News: Confirmed Covid-19 Cases at Hartland Community School - December 15, 2021

Title: Confirmed Covid-19 Cases at Hartland Community School - December 15, 2021
Body: December 15, 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This evening we were informed of Covid-19 cases at Hartland
Community School.

As per the new Public Health guidelines, all students in
grades K-8 who are in a school with a confirmed Covid-19 case are required to
do daily rapid testing and monitor for symptoms. Additionally, all unvaccinated
students in grades 9-12 in a school with a confirmed Covid-19 case are required
to do daily rapid testing and monitor for symptoms.

At Hartland Community School, students in grades K-8 are already doing daily
rapid testing. Therefore, we ask that you continue to be diligent with the
testing and closely monitor for symptoms. If you have had two negative tests
within the last 24 hours, you may come to school. However, please remember, if
one symptom appears or a rapid test shows positive, stay home and booka test immediately.

All unvaccinated grades 9-12 students are required to stay home tomorrow and
begin testing. On Friday, December 17, you may return to school if you have had
two negative tests within the 24 hours prior. Families who do not already have
test kits can pick them up tomorrow from the school. Please watch for a message
from your principal on a pick-up time.

Your school principal will also be sending a letter from Public
Health with more information on rapid testing shortly.

Thank you for your continued support as we respond to the pandemic.

Sincerely,

Jay Colpitts, Director of Schools for Covid-19
