Perth-Andover Schools Return to In-class Learning October 4, 2021

Dear Parents
and Guardians of Andover Elementary School, Perth-Andover Middle School, and
Southern Victoria High School,
Today we met
with the Regional Medical Officer of Health, who reviewed the current situation
related to Covid-19 in the three Perth-Andover schools. The recommendation is that in-person
learning will resume on Monday, October 4 for all three schools.
There are some
important points that go along with this message:
If anyone in the school community is
experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, they must stay home and get tested. To
book an online test, please click “Get tested” on the GNB coronavirus
website (
www.gnb.ca/coronavirus
) or call
Tele-Care at 811.
The return to school is for the general
student and staff population who are no longer subject to a self-isolation
order from Public Health. However, if a student or staff member has a
Public Health letter that directs self-isolation until a specific date or
has received instruction from Public Health through a call, that directive
must still be respected. Likewise, directions for testing in those letters
must still be respected.
Should someone be unsure about their
isolation or testing status from the letter or a conversation with Public
Health, they should call the Public Health number on their letter for
clarification.
We look

patience and commitment as we working through these challenging times.
