Dear Parents and
Guardians of Gibson-Neill Memorial Elementary School,
This afternoon we were
informed of a new Covid-19 case at Gibson-Neill Memorial Elementary School. We
are working with Public Health officials to identify any students and school
personnel who may have been in contact with the case.
Anyone identified as a
close contact will receive a letter from Public Health with specific
instructions on what to do next. Your school principal will send this letter along
with instructions on picking up rapid tests.
We will continue to
monitor case numbers at the school carefully. Unless notified otherwise,
students should plan to attend school on Monday, December 13.
Please remember, even
though students are not reporting to class in person at this time, it is
strongly encouraged that anyone who has been identified as a close contact
continues with rapid testing daily and monitors for symptoms. If symptoms
appear or a rapid test shows positive, please stay home and
book a test
immediately.
