Often times middle
school students do not have the chance to interact in a social setting or may
not have many friends. Best Buddies works to change that through our friendship
program. Our program provides people the chance to have experiences which most people
take for granted – simply enjoying the company of a good friend. We will get
together at school for activities and also meet up for social events. Best
Buddies encourages social inclusion and integration for students with
disabilities, but we’ve opened our chapter to any student who would like to
build on their friendship circle. The Peer Buddies are gaining leadership
skills while the Buddies are gaining social skills. This is certainly inclusion
at its best!

Best Buddies meet every two weeks from 2:30-3:45 p.m., beginning
on Tuesday, October 1st for our Meet and Greet. Please make sure your child is picked up at 3:45. For more information, please contact Mrs. Donovan at kelly.donovan2@nbed.nb.ca
