For the past 10 summers, Berridge Programs has been welcoming students from around the world to the Chateau le Mont Epinguet in Normandy, France to live in the community, develop their unique talents and experience another culture. Their program offers the perfect blend of performing arts camp and travel abroad experience. You can read about their program at www.berridgeprograms.com

The University of King's College in Halifax, NS is hosting Humanities for Young People this summer from July 7-16. Students in grades 9-11 are eligible and can apply online with a brief statement of their interest in the Humanities and a letter of recommendation from an adult who knows them.
The fee, $1,100 includes accommodation, meals, materials, lectures, and excursions. Bursaries will be available to students with financial need, and they also have a number of full scholarships available to Indigenous students. The deadline for applications i June 1, 2017.

Students in Grade 10 and 11..... Applications for The Royal Canadian Legion New Brunswick Command Leadership Training Camp are available in the Guidance Office.
The camp is at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB, July 9th- 16th, 2017.
The camp is not an "Activities" Camp but a Leadership Camp where leadership is taught through activities. "Leadership" is an attitude of mind which may be developed or discovered.

Experience Acadia Day
On Friday, March 10th, students and their families are invited to come to Acadia's campus for Experience Acadian Day - the on-campus transition event. This is an opportunity for students to receive academic advising and register for courses. Tours also take place enabling students to see one of Canada's most beautiful campuses. Register online.
All students who wish to be considered for a scholarship must apply for admission and provide all required admission documentation by March 1, 2017. Students who have been offered admission are encouraged to check their Acadian Central account - Acadia's online web portal - for any other required documents. Scholarship offers are made to successful candidates in late March.
Due to a cancellation as a result of the blizzard, SMU has rescheduled their Next Steps event in Fredericton to Tuesday, February 21st at 7:00pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Students can still RSVP to the event at smu.ca/events and students who have already registered do not need to register again.
Course selections for Semester 2 have been completed. Students have until Tuesday February 7th to make changes. Please contact the Guidance Office with any questions or concerns.
