There has been a noticeable amount of gum found on the floors and stuck to chairs and desks. We ask that you please use the garbage can to dispose of gum. If this continues to be an issue, we may need to ask that students not chew gum at school. Please be respectful and dispose of waste appropriately.
The grade 9 coffee house is a week away! Come on out on Oct. 17th at 7pm for a great time of entertainment and refreshments. The stage is off limits to students without direct teacher supervision. There are several large props and items being prepared for the Coffee House acts that cannot be moved or touched. Please do not go on the stage without a teacher present.
Today we are launching our HCS Big Box of Cards Fundraising campaign for students K-11. Students will receive a sample box of cards and order forms. There will only be one box per family coming home with the youngest student from each family.
Orders can be made until Friday October 25th. Now for the fun part. The top selling class in the school will be enjoying a tasty pizza party. There are also 5 more great prizes to be won based on a draw. There will be 4 individual prizes of a $25 gift card. If as a school we hit a target of selling 400 boxes or more then Big Box Fundraising will also award a 32 GB Apple iPod touch to be drawn for.
Remember that the money that we raise with Big Box of cards will be going straight back to initiatives for you the students of our school. The boxes are really easy to sell so have fun and good luck with your sales and with the prizes.
Thank you to everyone who participated in National Post It Note Day yesterday. We hope you made someone’s day. Please, continue to spread kindness and positivity today and every day.
